Designing, developing, and especially supporting WordPress themes and plugins is a time consuming venture. There’s lots of reasons I continue to offer free stuff:
- I like the open source philosophy
- Every project teaches me new things
- I appreciate what I’ve gotten from other WP developers and I’m able to give back in this way
- And of course, there’s self promotion

Donate Towards What?
I’m trying to raise $2,000 to buy a MacBook Pro. I’ve been a PC user my whole life and I will continue to use a PC until a Mac can convince me of its worth. However, I can’t just drop $2,000 on a new computer that I’m not totally sure can replace my PC desktop.
