WP Full Site is a Hybrid child theme built for small businesses that that is tailored towards the basics of gaining customers.

Most WordPress themes are made for blogging. While WP Full Site allows you to blog, the emphasis is placed on getting your visitors to contact you.

How to install WP Full Site

  1. Install the Hybrid theme first. This is required to run the WP Full Site child theme.
  2. Unzip the wp-full-site.zip file (you’ve probably already done this).
  3. Upload the wp-full-site folder to your /wp-content/themes directory.
  4. Go to Appearance > Themes in your WordPress admin.
  5. Activate the WP Full Site theme.

Using the theme

The theme is a child theme for the Hybrid theme framework, which means you must have Hybrid installed to use WP Full Site. Don’t worry. Just because it uses a framework doesn’t mean it’s complicated. It just means that your site will be a lot more powerful and all you have to do is have Hybrid installed. Everything should work from the moment you have everything installed.

Theme Settings

WP Full Site allows you to enter information into the WordPress backend and then displays it in the theme

Go to Appearance > Themes > Hybrid Settings and scroll to the bottom to see the WP Full Site settings.

You can enter the following information:

  • Phone Number (displays in the header)
  • Email Address (displays in the header)
  • Call to Action
    • Entering any text here will cause the theme to add a large graphic below the navigation as well as the text you’ve entered.

    Nice theme

Can you show us how to create a FULL Width Page without the sidebar?

    2) If we don’t add any “call to action” text, the image under the navigation header won’t show, right?

    Thanks

Very nice work, Patrick. Downloading now and looking forward to taking the theme for a “drive”. Will definitely use on our network. Great job on your site too! Saw it on Hybrid showcase but didn’t get a chance to leave a note. Will throw a link up on twitter – thanks!

    Hey Patrick,
love the look of this theme,
could you add this theme to the wordpress’s theme thingo?

i prefer downloading themes from wordpress straight into my site.

    Cheers,

Excellent work, mate. Only came across your site in the ‘Showcase’ just yesterday or day before; so I’m kinda not surprised at the quality of this theme.

I loved the Full Site theme, with some modifications it was perfect for my consulting business.

Now I have to port. (sigh)

    Thanks for the great code!

How can I enable the hero.gif image?

  12. Owen Peery

I love the theme and just installed it. Small problem.

I did the page templates for my pages, removing the sidebar or I guess it is called No Widgets.

This made my homepage look funny, the only page with the widgets. It is as if the most recent post moved up and covers the bottom portion of the “hero” image and also covers the breadcrumb trail. I swear that is the only modification I have done so far. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?
