WP Full Site is a Hybrid child theme built for small businesses that that is tailored towards the basics of gaining customers.
Most WordPress themes are made for blogging. While WP Full Site allows you to blog, the emphasis is placed on getting your visitors to contact you.
How to install WP Full Site
- Install the Hybrid theme first. This is required to run the WP Full Site child theme.
- Unzip the
wp-full-site.zipfile (you’ve probably already done this). - Upload the
wp-full-sitefolder to your/wp-content/themesdirectory. - Go to Appearance > Themes in your WordPress admin.
- Activate the WP Full Site theme.
Using the theme
The theme is a child theme for the Hybrid theme framework, which means you must have Hybrid installed to use WP Full Site. Don’t worry. Just because it uses a framework doesn’t mean it’s complicated. It just means that your site will be a lot more powerful and all you have to do is have Hybrid installed. Everything should work from the moment you have everything installed.
Theme Settings
WP Full Site allows you to enter information into the WordPress backend and then displays it in the theme
Go to Appearance > Themes > Hybrid Settings and scroll to the bottom to see the WP Full Site settings.
You can enter the following information:
- Phone Number (displays in the header)
- Email Address (displays in the header)
- Call to Action
- Entering any text here will cause the theme to add a large graphic below the navigation as well as the text you’ve entered.

Nice theme
Can you show us how to create a FULL Width Page without the sidebar?
2) If we don’t add any “call to action” text, the image under the navigation header won’t show, right?
Thanks
1. Its very simple to achieve a full-width page. Just use the “No Widgets” page template
2. Correct: no call to action = no image under the navigation

Very nice work, Patrick. Downloading now and looking forward to taking the theme for a “drive”. Will definitely use on our network. Great job on your site too! Saw it on Hybrid showcase but didn’t get a chance to leave a note. Will throw a link up on twitter – thanks!
Thanks for the kind words and the promotion! Let me know if you run into any trouble with it.
How difficult is it too change the header on this? I’m a noob (as if you didn’t already know)…
Thanks for the great looking child theme.
Neal
Its as simple as replacing
hero.giflocated here:/wp-content/themes/wp-full-site/library/images/hero.gifwith the image you’d like to use.Or you, can manipulate the style sheet on line 126.
Hey Patrick,
love the look of this theme,
could you add this theme to the wordpress’s theme thingo?
i prefer downloading themes from wordpress straight into my site.
Cheers,
I wish I could, but the WordPress Theme Directory doesn’t support child themes yet. Make some noise about it and hopefully one day we will.
Excellent work, mate. Only came across your site in the ‘Showcase’ just yesterday or day before; so I’m kinda not surprised at the quality of this theme.

I loved the Full Site theme, with some modifications it was perfect for my consulting business.
Now I have to port. (sigh)
Thanks for the great code!
How can I enable the hero.gif image?
In the WordPress backend, go to Appearance > Hybrid Settings and you can set your message.
Hi Patrick
I am unable to enable the image ..
my site: http://easylean.net
I tried to enter information on hybrid settings but wondering where I need to enter information on hybrid settings under appearance.
Go here: http://easylean.net/wp-admin/themes.php?page=theme-settings.php and scroll to the bottom. Put something in the “Call to action”.
I think I got it now! Thanks
Patrick,
How can I put a logo Just beside the blog name?
wishlist:
and also it would be great to have sliding images..that is just a wishlist now…
See this forum post. It will replace the blog title with an image, so just include the blog title in the image. Also, use the forum for any other support questions and things you’d like to see added.
I love the theme and just installed it. Small problem.
I did the page templates for my pages, removing the sidebar or I guess it is called No Widgets.
This made my homepage look funny, the only page with the widgets. It is as if the most recent post moved up and covers the bottom portion of the “hero” image and also covers the breadcrumb trail. I swear that is the only modification I have done so far. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?

Check your call to action (on the Hybrid Settings page) — it looks like you’ve got some malformed HTML in there.
Because I always love Hybrid, of course I love WP Full Site. Congrat!! and Thanks, I will use it :)
