Fractional CTO and digital leadership
You get someone who has run a 100+ person digital organization and still writes production code. I work with startups and growing companies part-time: setting technical direction, clearing what's slowing the team down, and shipping alongside them.

When this is a fit
You're past the prototype, but no one owns technology
Founders end up making architecture, vendor, and hiring calls on their own. I take those decisions off your plate and put a plan behind them.
Your product and your marketing don't talk to each other
The site, app, CRM, and ad platforms were built separately, so you can't see what drives revenue. That gap is where I've spent most of my career.
You need to ship faster before hiring a full team
I build with AI-assisted development and small teams, so work that used to need a department can go out in weeks.
You're about to hire engineers
Job descriptions, interviews, team structure, and standards that a future full-time leader can inherit.
What I do
Technical strategy and roadmap
Architecture, build-versus-buy decisions, vendor selection, and a roadmap tied to business goals.
Hands-on engineering
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Supabase, and the integrations around them. I write and ship code, not just recommendations.
Growth engineering
Landing pages, analytics, paid acquisition, and CRM automation. At EverFleet this work cut customer acquisition cost from about $500 to about $40.
Team building
Hiring, team structure, design systems, and engineering practices that hold up as you grow. I've built UX, engineering, and marketing technology teams from scratch.
AI adoption
Practical use of AI in your product and in how your team builds, based on production apps I've shipped with it.

What does a fractional CTO do?
A fractional CTO does the job of a technology executive for part of the week: setting technical direction, making architecture and vendor decisions, managing engineers or contractors, and representing technology to founders, investors, and customers. You get senior leadership without a full-time executive salary.
How is this different from hiring an agency?
An agency sells delivery. I own the outcome with you: deciding what to build, what to skip, and who should build it. I also build a lot of it myself, and I can manage agencies or contractors when that is the better choice.
What kinds of companies do you work with?
Mostly startups and growing companies that need senior leadership before they can justify a full-time hire. Recent work spans education technology, electric vehicle fleets, privacy compliance, home services, and logistics.
Do you write code or only advise?
Both. Most engagements mix strategy with hands-on work: redesigning a site, building features, wiring up analytics and CRM, or standing up a new product.
